Hi, I’m Haleh Johnson, and I’m excited to serve as Fremont PTA President this year! This is my fourth year at Fremont and my third year serving on the PTA Board. My daughters, Eileen and Leanna, are in 3rd grade and TK.
Outside of PTA, I’m an architect and love spending time with my family, riding my bike to the beach, and admiring the beautiful homes and neighborhoods around Long Beach.

This is my fourth year on the board of the PTA and second year as EVP. I've been so honored to be a part of the Fremont community for 8 years and sad to say this is my last as my youngest, Eleanore, graduated 5th grade this year.
Besides PTA, I love to learn new things. Whether it's painting a mini mural, building a backyard chicken coop, baking sourdough focaccia or researching local historical preservation, I'm always involved in something!

This is my third year at Fremont and second year on the Board. My daughter is a 1st Grader and first-generation American. I’m originally from England and my husband is from Tunisia in North Africa, so our little family of three is a unique blend of cultures. I love the warm community and diversity at Fremont and am proud to serve on the Board.
I have a background in finance and accounting, but have now stepped away from corporate life and spend my time being a mum, managing our Airbnbs and doing career coaching, among other things. I love reading, going to music concerts, and traveling for vacations or to visit our families.

I am serving my third year on the PTA Board, the last 2 years as the Program's VP and this year as the IDEA VP helping to plan the Community Nights, diverse assemblies and more. Our first Falcon has gone on to Rogers and is in 7th grade. Our little Falcon is in the 4th grade. I'm proud to be supporting our teachers and staff and being a part of a great team. Our family loves to travel; I'm in love with plants and thrifting!

I’m an artist by trade and keep that same personal focus and dedication within our PTA’s ideas. Let’s go, Falcons!

Hi Fremont! I’m Kate Laris and this is my first year serving as a board member for the Fremont PTA. My son, Finn, is in 4th grade. I have always lived in So Cal but fell in love with Long Beach when I moved here for college (go CSULB!). Outside of serving on the PTA, I am a professor of Art History and Archaeology at Pepperdine University, am the co-host of a podcast all about ancient fashion and beauty trends, run marathons, devour a good thriller, and have a serious addiction to jigsaw puzzles. I am a regular volunteer at Fremont so if you see me around, please say hello!

I spend most of my days shopping for vintage clothing and furniture, trying new restaurants, vegetable gardening, and puzzling. Kettle chips are my greatest weakness.

I’m a mom of three—a 15-year-old daughter at Wilson, a second grader, and a kindergartener. I love being involved in our sweet little school and contributing wherever I can to support our students, teachers, and families!
