Jen Coats and colleagues from the LBC Hero Squad will be giving a talk at our November general meeting about how to increase equity and inclusivity for neurodiverse youth.

The LBC Hero Squad is a nonprofit organization led by passionate parents with the mission of bringing inclusion, acceptance, and kindness to neurodivergent youth. LBC Hero Squad’s annual Autism Awareness Week was born at Cubberley K-8 in 2016 with the help of our small but mighty group of parents and school staff. We have since inspired other schools in the Long Beach Unified School District to join the celebration of neurodiversity and branched out into hosting community events in Long Beach. We believe everyone is a hero and we’re so excited about what we can do together. We hope you’ll join our Squad in uplifting neurodiverse youth and building an inclusive community. LBC Hero Squad is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. EIN 86-1697137.
